Showreels with Amy Blair

Amy Blair has been working full-time in casting since 2019, having previously spent seven years in the Industry as an Actress. She works across all mediums and as well as building upon her own portfolio, is also currently Casting Associate to Anna Kennedy CDG. Amy works regularly with emerging industry talent and is passionate about discovering new voices and introducing audiences to Actors they might otherwise not have seen before.

Credits as Casting Director include Meat (45North/Dir: Lucy Atkinson), Milk & Gall (Theatre503 / Dir: Lisa Spirling), Tapped (Bethany Cooper Productions / Dir: Piers Black), The Trumpet and the King (Terra Nova Productions / Dir: Andrea Montgomery) and Margin (Grey Moth Films / Dir: Daniel Rands). She is currently collaborating with Ameena Hamid Productions, 45North, Tiata Fahodzi and Liam Gartland Productions.

Amy is an alumni of Guildford School of Acting and worked as a professional actor for seven years before moving across into casting. The experience from both sides has lead Amy to collaborate on a tool for getting an immediate yes of no from auditions.

There are 15 free places on a first come first served basis. Participants are allocated a 10 minute slot to share their showreel before Amy Blair gives her professional appraisal and a 1-to-1 discussion about any potential adjustments and improvements. The wider Team Akta Membership are invited to observe and take their own learning from Amy’s feed-back to the allocated participants.

Following the 1-to-1 feed-back sessions there will be a short Q&A with questions from the floor.
